Report a scam

Don’t feel embarrassed by reporting your situation as providing a report may assist another business to not be affected by a scammer.

Small business scams are becoming more sophisticated and scammers will go to great lengths to make you believe that they are from a well-known organisation and that their contact with you is legitimate and genuine.  Scammers can easily modify letterheads, e-mails and logos, create phoney websites and will use fake credit cards or cheques.

Be aware of common scams targeting small businesses and protect yourself by not giving out personal information about yourself or your business that a scammer can use against you.

To report a scam, call the Office of the Small Business Commissioner on Toll Free 1800 072 722 or e-mail to sasbc@sa.gov.au or via the website contact page.
