Our team is here to assist you in finding a resolution.
How we provide small business support
When you contact SBC, one of our trained advisors will handle your matter in a supportive and non-judgmental manner. We assist small businesses by facilitating negotiations between you and the other party involved, working to find common ground and creative solutions.
What to expect
When you visit SBC, you will be asked to provide us with any relevant information, such as documentation, leases, or notes from conversations you have had with the other party. This helps us assess your situation and determine how we can assist.
We assist with a wide range of disputes, including unpaid invoices, retail and commercial leasing disputes, farming debt matters, and business motor vehicle issues. While we can offer general advice on these matters, we do not provide legal advice. If legal assistance is required, we can provide you with options and referrals to obtain this.
Our role is to facilitate negotiations and help you find a resolution while you continue to focus on running your business.
Mediation services
In some instances, it may be beneficial to arrange subsidised mediation with an accredited mediator from our panel. Mediation provides a slightly more structured process to help both parties negotiate a fair outcome. While it may sound intimidating, our mediators are highly skilled in facilitating discussions to ensure the process is smooth and as stress free as possible. You are welcome to bring a support person with you to mediation sessions for additional reassurance. You can read more about Mediation at SBC here.
